I've been posting my bento baon (lunchbox, snack box) on my Instagram account. Follow me and see all my stories.

I am a mom trying to keep my kids eat a balanced meal every day. I want them to feel loved by preparing #bentobaon as much as possible every day. I used hashtags like #BaonNiQueen, #BaonNiPrincess, #BaonSerye, #BaonIdeas, #BaonSeries, #Baonfortoday and #schoolbaonforkids.

If not, I am posting some food, photos of me and my kids - the moments with my kids that is worth sharing. I also love to share quotes and sayings.

My photo feeds are usually the meals and snacks that I prepared for my kids and are not that expensive usually eaten by simple people. There were days that we are fortunate to have pasalubong (present) from the people around us. I am posting it not to brag but just loving the feeling to experience those things.

Two Floods in 2015

I'm still awake. As in, no sleep yet. Why? Because we are currently in flooding again. How can I sleep in this kind of situation??? We're stuck again in the house, watching the water get into next level and wondering when to stop.. to subside.

This is the year when two floods happened. The first one was last October when typhoon named Lando landfall here in the Philippines. This time, it was Nona who happened to pour rain last week that again made the dams full. So the Dams releases water to keep the right level of water. Since my in-laws were living near the riverside, where we are staying, every year, we experience this situation, water everywhere. Smelly and dirty.

When the river flows, the houses at the side will get soaked and ruined. How sad that Christmas is only six days to go and this happen again. We will be celebrating the birth of Jesus with water all around. I hope it will stop now, as soon as possible. This isn't good anymore. Christmas supposed to be Merry, not Sorry. Christmas should be preparing for food to eat, exchanging gifts and bonding, not cleaning after the flood.

I don't want this to happen again every year. If I will be having my own house, I'll make sure that the location is safe from floods. Flooding is really a big disaster. No nutritious food to eat, no comfort room, no clean water. It's killing people.

In this kind of situation, we only have one God to ask for protection and guidance. Let us all pray and have faith. Believe that God has a reason for everything.

A Dress for Special Occassions

Dressing up is one goal for me. I don't have a lot of clothes. I am just a simple woman who's comfortable wearing jeans and t-shirts. Sometimes, I wear blouses pairing with slacks for semi-formal attire.

I remember the first time I wear a dress was when I graduated from college. My mom bought me a black balloon style, with sleeve and white polka dots design from the shop located in the market. It was hard to find one that time because I prefer a dress with sleeves. Most of their selling items are sleeveless, off-shoulder or tube style. So I ended up with what I wore in my graduation day.

My second time wearing a dress was when I attended a semi-formal wedding of my workmate. I wore leggings too to avoid showing my skin. Sorry for always being conscious but I really can't help it.

My eldest sister gave that dress, she bought it from Malaysia. And the last time I wore a dress, it was my civil wedding day last February 2011. I personally bought it at the mall. A Simple white long dress with crochet knitted design in neckline part.

I don't have more dresses not because it is expensive but because I don't have guts to show some skin and I often go parties. Parties as I see it is just for wealthy people. So they buy dresses to socialize and be presentable. Or maybe even if you're not into parties, go and buy one for your own good and be looking good. Right?

I sometimes, find myself browsing online because I really want to try some and see myself in a beautiful creation. It makes me want to buy lots of it. I have seen beautiful design and style that every woman would love to wear.

Usually for women who love to dress up during an event like weddings, birthday party, or just a night out, they go for a dress. For these occasions, cocktail dresses make it perfect. Looks so adorable and elegent.

The cocktail dress is worn at semi-formal occasions, around knee length and may have sequins or lace as designs. ZALORA has a gorgeous collection of cocktail dresses, you may take a look at it.

Advance Christmas Greetings

Hi guys! I have been very busy being a mother of two stubborn babies that's why its been so long that I am not posting here. I am also busy accompanying my eldest daughter in school. She is now a day care student in our Barangay day care center at her age of three. She is now starting to learn new things, starting to communicate well with other people or kids and adapting to new environment.

I am talking to myself if I will still continue this blog. I've realized that I already posted a lot and why not continue even just post one per month. So, maybe I have to post something worth reading if one post per month. Or maybe post anything more than one within a month.

Well anyway, Christmas is fast approaching and I would like to greet you guys an advance Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year;) I hope this Holiday Seasons be filled with joyful memories and full of blessings. It is time to bond and reunite with the whole family so enjoy every moment of it.

How to do a Staycation?

How to do a staycation? Staycations do not have the stress associated with travel, such as packing, long drives, or waits at airports. Usually, those who are busy at work, doing a staycation every weekend. So they only have two days and one night. It can be done inside the house, near the house or near the work place or maybe within the city. You don't need to spend more money for a staycation. You only have to think of what to do and what to eat during that time. This is one way of escaping from the stress of work, stress of being a stay at home or stress of handling business.

Some of us wants to relax and unwind. Who does not want? I mean, everybody wants. If you have the spare time and extra money, you can staycation at a luxury hotel. What to do there? Of course, there's so many things to do there. I'm sure hotels are offering services that you will love and definitely you will come back. What I have in mind? Do you think there's massage spa inside hotels? Bowling, videoke machine, swimming, movie marathon while lying on the bed and eat a lot of hotels best foods that they can offer. I hope that all of these activities are available. But because you are in a hotel, mostly wants to get enough sleep and eat a lot.

If you don't have the money, but enough for foods to eat, go for a grocery shopping of your favorite foods and cook it at home. Together with your family, you can try movie marathon, picnic at the backyard, have a inflatable pool outside at home and go on swimming, play badminton, biking, pingpong, hide and seek, baking, chatting (time for telling stories of each other) , drink special liquor etc.

When you want to leave your home for a short period of time, you can go to a near park. Biking is also available there, eat some street foods such as dirty ice cream, cotton candy, fishball and squidball. At the park, usually there are seesaw, cradle made of iron, slides and capturing moments in a big statue or big cartoon characters.

Staycations mean you can play ‘hometown tourist,’ and enjoy the fun things that your city (or surrounding areas) have to offer, which you normally might go out of your way to experience.

Rev Up Your Ride with Foton

I am not a driver and owner of a luxury car but I am an observer of my sister's car. She's not rich but she strives hard to own her dream car someday and she achieved it. Before she got her wheels, she worked hard in Malaysia, saved money and then came home to build her own business -- Gracia's Native Lechon. Aside from that, she also tried other business like Network Marketing, Restaurant and Catering Services.

Because of that, she bought a luxury car like this, a CHEVROLET which is worth 1.2 million pesos if I can still remember. Not in cash basis. She needs to pay twenty thousand pesos monthly ( P 20, 000) to be able to officially owned the car for two years.

For me, it's too pricey. Very expensive for a newly businesswoman like her. She suddenly aimed too high and didn't think a million times before she bought the car. I mean, let's be practical. Buy for something you need not want if you can't still able to have it totally for yourself. Having that car is too "costly". When they fuel up worth 1k, it only last for 1-2 days depending on the destinations. It can only load six people including the driver. Not advisable for a big family.

We all knew that having a business is not permanent and always on the go to keep you stable in everything. Sadly, my sister wasn't able to provide P20,000 monthly, anymore. So the result, she surrendered the car. If only I knew Foton before, I will recommend it to my sister.
